Are your Dresses genuine or are they copies?
Any item we ever sell on our website are 100% genuine and this can be confirmed by checking direct with the Brand. A lot of websites sell copy dresses which look nothing like the one in the photo you thought you were ordering so if in doubt always check with the brand direct.
Why do you charge for postage as some websites have free postage?
We pride ourselves on not only our excellent customer service but also the great value of our dresses and shoes. We sell all our products as cheap as we possibly can and this gives us no further room to offer free postage. There are occasional offers where we do offer free postage so please just check on the check page when you enter your postage and you might just see a free postage offer!
Have you got a shop we can visit to try on some dresses?
Yes, we do have a shop however we are in Penryn in Cornwall so may not be close to you. We are open Monday to Saturday from 10.00 a.m. until 5.00 p.m. and would love to see you anytime. We are open Sundays 11 - 4 p.m. during prom season only - it's always best to call just to make sure. Currently due to Covid-19 we do have reduced hours but the best thing to do is contact us and we will make sure that we try and make an appointment with you which suits you.
Are all your dresses in stock in the UK?
Yes, all dresses showing as available on our website are in stock and ready to post out to you. If a dress is showing as a pre-order or coming soon they are on the way to us but not yet arrived. A great deal of online dress shops show hundreds of dresses as being available when they are in fact not in stock.
Do you price match other UK sites?
Yes if you find an identical product in stock in the same size and colour from an authorised UK store we will try our best to match or beat the price.
Can you order in dresses that are not showing online?
Yes, we only show what we have in stock. We can order in other dresses from the brands that we stock. We can often get Jadore, Elle Zeitoune, Mascara or Tiffanys stock in within a few days. Just email us or give us a call so we can confirm availability for you.
How long do I have to return an item? (online only)
After you receive an item you have 14 calendar days to inform us that you wish to return it and a further 14 calendar days to post it back to us (please note this is for online orders only). Click here to see our full returns policies: Returns policy
Can I speak to somebody at Cargo Clothing on the phone?
Yes, we encourage customers to speak to us, call us anytime Mon - Sat from 10.00 until 5.00 on 01326 376486. Sun 11 until 4 pm. (prom season only)
My Prom has been cancelled can I get a refund?
Due to Covid-19 we are very sad to hear that many proms have been cancelled by the schools and are not even going to try and reshedule. We find this awful news and we are so disappointed for all the year 2020 this is happening to worldwide. As much as we would love to help all customers that have bought a prom gown from us we simply are unable to offer any refunds or exchanges. We would like to hope that our customers would understand the reasons why we would be unable to do this.
Do you take deposits?
Due to Covid-19 and the dreadful year that we have had, we are sorry to say that we are unable to take any deposits this year for any dresses bought. Dresses must be paid in full for any orders taken or tried on in-store, we are unable to offer any payment plans for the year 2021, we hope that this might change next year.
