Miss Milne is becoming the go to place for a certain girls’ wardrobe, something polished with a punch.
Upping the luxury element of this collection was a priority, the silhouettes remain more of a
classic feminine cut, drawing inspiration from the 20’s and the wonderful works of Cecil Beaton.
The designer has magnified attention into constructing the fabric and embellishments of which
the details are extraordinary.
There are pieces made up of entirely hand drawn laces of embroidered cutwork on tiny black
netting. Then the handwork on the micro beaded pieces is miniscule and almost invisible,
there is “a sense of sensuality” through transparency, a certain sense of tough sensuality.
With long floor length dresses that you might want to “just live in” and fringed party pieces it is
evident that the design team are adapting various au courant ideas taking hold in high fashion’s playground.
